Please Help Me!!!

I have a 1998 Grand Am Gt 4 Cylinder I have been having problems with it for about six months now. It has been running really rough. When you start it it runs rough and when you drive it runs rough. When you push on the gas while driving it barly has any powers and shakes. I have no clue on how to fix it... It probably is considering "misfiring"

We have replaced:
Fuel Pressure Regulator
Coil Packs
Coil Pack Covor
Spark Plugs
Spark Plug Boots
Throttle Position Sensor
Chank Shaft Position Sensor
O2 Sensor
Many Fuel Filters
Tested the resistance on the fuel injectores and those seem fine

Please help me! I want to drive a normal car!

I'd say take it to a mechanic.

blown head gasket or bad intake/exhaust Valve. Do a compression test and leak down test and also check for air bubbles in the radiator while the engine is running. Obviously you will need to heed the previous posters advice to get these things done properly....

I think you replaced about everything except for the ignition control module. If that doesnt take care of your problems then yo might consider having a mechanic check it out.

Have you checked for trouble codes?

if when driving has no power....possibly a plugged converter

i agree on ecm and check see if converter is plugged also..good luck..

i'm going to have a compression test ran on it soon and see what that showes, then check the converter. hopefully i can find out soon.. My check engine light was on and we got a scaner and we have fixed everything that it was scanning. and the light has not came back on for about a week now..

First off an easy way to check the converter is to remove the upstream O2 sesor by the manifold. Run the vehicle with it removed and if it smooths out you have your answer. A couple questions though. Does the vehicle idle and if so does it stall at idle? Does it seem to run a little better at higher rpms? I posted on someone elses question that I found a bad crank position sensor that had a low output signal. The sensor not only provides the signal for the spark, but also sends it to the pcm to be amplified and sent to the ignition control modual which then in turn also provides the signal for the injector pulse. Hope this helps.
