transmission shifting when cold

hi i have a 2000 sienna and the transmission seems to shift take alot higher rpm to shift when cold. After its warmed up it seems to shift normal, but until it warms up it will not shift into second gear until it reaches almost 3000 rpm. If anyone has had similiar problems please let me know.

hi there, i own a 98 sienna and this is NORMAL. it will not shift into overdrive until it is warmed up, this protects and prolongs the transmission life. hope this helps :)
