Power steering fluid leak

Hello...
My 88 4WS 2Si Prelude is leaking power steering fluid directly from the rack, according to the mechanic.
I add about 2-4 oz a day, which is getting to be a real drag. plus, the steering wheel is really hard to turn until it warms up.
any suggestions? the mechanic says a new rack is way too expensive to install. Is this a danger to drive?
thanks.

Put it up on jack stands and figure out exactly where it is comming from. Then from there you are able to decide what to do. With my 1990 SI 4WS it was comming from the high pressure line and that made it look like it was comming from the rack. So $145 later and 30 mins in my garage and poof no more leak.
