Truck runs good - sitting idling, tack nominer will drop slowly when warming, and will cause truck to stall out. What's up with that? Do u know?

I'm new to Ford's, I just bought an 89 f250. I didn't get any help to my problem on this forum. You should head over to www.ford-trucks.com (http://www.ford-trucks.com/) They will help you!

The chokes on those were designed to slowly drop the idle as the engine warms up, check your idle speed screw it should be on the same side as the throttle rod/cable is on.
Turn the idle screw in a turn or two this will raise the idle speed, hook a tachometer up to the ignition coil, once the engine is warmed up adjust the idle screw until the idle is where it should be.
