'99 Corolla

Well some problems with the car:

Keyless Entry Alarm System:
- Turns on and off, but does not lock/unlock doors

Driver's side door:
- Turning the key you can only unlock the door, you cannot turn the key left to lock all the doors.

Middle Overhead Lamp:
- When set into the on position does not always turn on, may be loose?

Car was recently bought for me by my father, first car, and I would just like to make sure the car is safe being left out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As well, the car's Safety Belt Light continues to blink on and off even when the safety belt is put on.

I don't believe that turning the key to the left to unlock all of the doors is a feature on the car, but I could be wrong. For the overhead lamp, I seem to have the same problem. What I do when switching it to the 'on' position, is put it fully towards that direction, then slightly back towards the 'off' or 'door' positions for the switch until it comes on (but not fully back to off). It always stays on after that. Good luck on the rest, and enjoy the car. It's dependable and a great car to start out with.
