Stuck in o/d

Not sure if I have 2 problems or one, 02 sporttrac will not disengage from o/d. Usually when you put it in drive the doors lock automatically(they arent) AND no daytime running lights? I came across a blown fuse #27 for drl, back up lamps switch and dtr sensor? replaced fuse it burnt right away. Am I on the right path? and what is the dtr sensor. Thanks for your future suggestions and guidence.

Seems like you are on the right track. The DTR sensor is the Digital Transmission Range Sensor. Unplug the sensor and see if the short goes away. If so, you need to replace the DTR at a minimum.

Belive it or not I am having a hard time finding a manual for a expoler/trac, so I have no idea where the tranny sensor is? Is there one I can download offline, or can u pinpoint a area for me.Thank you again
