2000 Silverado, Help! No Headlights!

All other lights work....no headlights. running lights ok during day. have voltage on both sides of socket...checked fuses, grounds, plugs for melted-arcing... no luck...a costly trip to the GM garage? oh no! please can anybody help me????? THX!

If you have power to the socket then its the ground or burnt bulbs???

changed bulbs and checked grounds...no luck.....

UPDATE! Found that the turn signal/dimmer switch in steering column had connections that were melted causing the ground to be bad. giot a complete used column for parts coming!

That was driving me nuts!! I even went out and traced mine down and lost sleep tryin to tink of why they wouldnt work...Glad you found it..
