Hello, I have a 98 Grand prix GT with the 3800 series ll. The ABS and TRAC Off lights are on. I know that most of the time ABS lights are due to wheel sensors, this TRAC is new to me. Any way to check the wheel sensors without having to shell out $125.00 for GM to hook it up to thier computer?

Thanks

You can do an ohm check at the connector. The hub side should read about 1k ohms. You may also want to check the condition of the wires and connectors for corrosion/bare spots, etc...

FWIW, the ABS sensor also feeds info to the traction control system, so I believe when you have a bad ABS sensor, trac will be out as a consequence.

your should be able to get it scanned at a shop for 40-80, 125 is a rip off
just had this problem in my car. if there isnt a humming sound there will be soon, and make sure u know what side its comming from . if not u may realize u replaced the wrong hub.. this is of course if the connector or wire arnt damaged.

Thanks for the help, it was the wires going to the wheel sensor, both had been wrapped around the cotter pin on the ball joint bolt and were pulled apart.
