Does anyone happen to know how to adjust the windshield wipers on an '04 Silverado?? One wiper needs some adjusting as it got out of whack (from the snow and ice) Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! :licka:

Depends on what you mean by adjust. Is the wiper bent? Or do they just hit each other when turned on. It's possible that the ice held the blades in place and when you turned them on the spindle inside turned and the wiper stayed in place a bit. If that's the case, there should be a cover over the base of the pivot point with one bolt under it. Take off the bolt and the spindle is beneath it and is grooved. If the grooves are not worn off, just pull the wiper up and adjust the starting point and put everything back.

At least I'm assuming the silvy's are like this. I've never actually taken the wipers off of any of the newer ones, but several other cars worked this way and I've done it with them.

Sorry for not being clearer... it is not bent. One wiper just doesn't sit where it belongs and it's driving me crazy. I'll try adjusting it... Thanks for the help!

I had the same problem and wrparks is right on with his advise.

wrparks is correct. The same thing happened to mine.

Before putting the arm back on the splined cone, I added a few drops of red lok-tite to aid a bit in the grip.
