My plan is to get the car back up and running again. Then new tires and possibly a louder catback. But that's it for me. Then later this summer, I need to get a 4-cyl beater for the longer drive to school this fall.

I have tons I wish to do to my 96. I am still looking up what all I can do and since i'm not a mechanic I need to do a lot of research.

And another damn 3rd gen fuel pump. :cya:

Take my aggressions out from the f/p by sawzalling what ever metal actaully still remains on the Z :icon16:

Cars are too damn expensive.

meh

1-1988 Pontiac Trans Am GTA $2000

Set of headers, free from other car

Catback exhaust, free from other car

Rear differential, free from other car.

Electric fuel pump $250

Another 3rd gen F-Body spending more time in the garage then being driven.....

Priceless. :icon16:

I want to swap some parts from an LS1, namely catback, shocks, springs, 3:42 posi, aluminum DS, and then if I have money leftover pacesetter headers. Yeah, i'm poor. (PM if you have/can get these parts for cheap).

I change my mind every other day on what I want to do.
Cam my LS-1 or build a motor. Or just do both.

I plan on a lot of things for my car. Here are the only projects lined up for it.

get a fender and paint it dark blue and dark red $200.00

put the 400 in it with a custom grind cam $500.00

make the axle sturdy enough to not die from 400/400 and D/R's $250.00

make the rear air susp. adjust from drivers seat $50.00

Plus a few other things. This summer i will at least get it painted and the 400 in it.

And why's that? Handles just as good as any other car i've had in the winter. I've had the car 6 years now and I never drove it in winter just because of all the stories about how "bad f-bodies are in the snow". As long as you know how to drive and have a decent set of tires it don't matter.

VR4 in the winter? I shall do no such thing! :nono:

Honestly tho I am budgeting up to $250 for a in-ine pump, AFPR, ines etc.

Plan to put a new starter on it, drive it a little if parents permit, then sell it in the local paper and resign myself to the yota for a few years.

f-bodies arent too bad in the winter. Quite fun actually. One thing they do well is slide around. sports cars are like motorcycles. in the winter its harder to sell them and you will not make as much as you could during spring or summer.

Driving my first one in the winter wasnt' bad at all. It was when the choke plate on the carb would get sticky and idle the thing at 1.5-2k some RPM and start to turn around at a stop because the brakes couldn't hold it. :lol2:

I haven't had any problems driving in the snow. Only slide when i want to. Got out on a local highway going straight on the road, but facing sideways, for like 100 yards, then straightened it out becuase of my friends' complaints. It drives good in the snow, but the cold weather has had it's effect on parts. I never had a problem until winter hits, now i'm afraid to drive it down the street and back. It's been my daily driver through the winter while it's running, but the other 75% of the time, the toyota sienna has, and i HATE Toyotas, especially this one, slow, crappy, and runs on 4-5 cylinders out of 6, plus i can watch the fuel gauge go down.

My car as it sits would most likely be upper 10's with a zero DA.

Sometime I will get off the hill.
Gonna get kicked off the track though.

It would take a few passes.
I would be adding 80 RWHP just by getting off the mountain.

Quite a bit more power to get used to.
