mileage, N/A or Twin Turbo, condition?
N/A in good condition with ~100k miles = $5-7k depending on area and how much the buyer is willing to pay.
Twin Turbo in good condition ~100k miles = $7-15k depending on mods and once again, how much the buyer is willing to pay.

well i think im gonna have to go with n/a due to insurance and probly a 2+2i wouldnt pay more than $7k for a N/A no matter what. but i think you should be able to find a decently low mileage good condition clean 2+2 for $5k or a little more.

yeah overpriced unless it has extremely low mileage and it spotless. even then, go fetch yourself a nice Twin Turbo $11k.

It's always best to get a quote because there is always an oddball exception but yeah, at 17 I would think a Twin Turbo would bring in a steep insurance bill.

very true... from what i head don't expect to purchase a TwinTurbo and not throw money into it on the regular.
insurance depends...my insurance would not have been effected that greatly from a TT to a N/A. i think it was like $15 a month extra...i think it was mostly because of the age of the car but i don't know, i have heard of some people getting raped on insurance upon switching to a Twin Turbo.

 i have paid full coverage on it for a while simply because it has been back and forth from shop to shop so if anything happens to it at a shop and they weasel their way out of paying for it then i will have a back up plan...plus an evil ex-girlfriend that feels that the car was the source of the destruction of our relationship also encourages me to keep insurance on it.

depends on your other bills and expenses...i bought my N/A when i was 17, senior in high school, i was making ~$400-$500 every 2 weeks but i did not spend that much money on the car itself. once the car was paid off which i purchased with cash on the spot except for a small loan from my family which i paid back within a month, i only had my insurance payments. so i had plenty of money to put towards the few mods i did before I changed jobs. an well maintained N/A can be easily maintained by a high school student in my opinion, about the same as any other car. put gas in it, change the oil, sensor, pads, and filter changes here and there and it should stay running pretty good. but then keep in mind, there is always the occasion that a fuel injector does go out and N/A motors do destruct, etc. which are expensive fixes.

I kind of doubt you could afford any kind of car on that salary. Well except a beat up 79 Plymouth Wagon. That thing was awesome. Anyway, if you just kept it to bare essentials, gas and insurance, and were stingy with the cash for everything else in your life then you could probably afford it.

Im making anywhere from 150 - 250 every two weeks and I can afford the gas for my POS Buick (18 or less mpg, fill at least 1 time a week), insuance, and a few other bills, and put a little bit aside for other things, soon be buying a nissan myself in about 2 or 3 months. I turn 18 in 2 months. So it depends on what your priorities are with your money.

Ahh young love........ 17 and wanting a Z32..... The car IS older than you. :P But they are right dont go for any deals on NAs for more than 7k its just not worth it.... Now if you find a NA showroom kept for 12k with 10 or less miles let a collector or me know.... not that I can afford it right now. I have scene a 1996 TT 300ZX in a showroom in charlotte NC a few years ago. It had 8 miles on it and still had the sales sticker in the window. But it was no longer for sale. I dont blame them.
Good luck for your search and may you find the perfect Z32 for you.

I always liked how the paint on the hood fades almost to white in a good angle shot, I've only seen it with a few colors and Cobalt green is one of the best examples.

I will stick to the tan interiour, its WAY better in the AZ sun trust me. I had a 95 2+2 silver with a black leather interiour in AZ, and that just was not cool....... Not that the tan one is much better, but atleast it didnt sizzle when sweat hit it.
