You can take the engine out of any diecast car as long as it is not one of thoes 1 piece plates like Jada has.. They are very realistic.. the Ertl Authentics 85 monte carlo SS has a diecast metal oil pan and diecast metal transmission.. along with a drive shaft that moves with the rear wheels. Very very well detailed models.
