Heh, Hi, I've got a few questions, and pehaps someone might be able to help me. I've got an 91 3000 GT SL Auto. and just took it into the shop, I got it about a year ago. It started "jumping" or "jearking" while I was driving down the road a few months after I got it. I got so bad that after a while I stoped driving it everywere but in town. Then one as I was driving it down the road I put my foot on the gas and nothing but the engine reving happned. I had someone I know take a look at it and he said it was the overdrive, so I started driving with it off and it drove fine, save for a few engine jumps. Now When I took the car in they said it they would repace the "endcap" and that should fix the overdrive problem. Now I want to know, what is an endcap? what does it do? Would it possabally fix the overdrive( I know it depends on the problem) and is there anything anyone knows of that would fix the engine jerking problem? (It Revs up to about 7k rpms and then jumps, feels like i may fly though the windsheld is the best way to describe it.)
Thanks for any help. :naughty:

sounds like your torque converter is going bad to me. what that means is that when the car goes into neutral its taking a really long time to shift or not shifting at all.

I think you mean end clutch. And yes overdrive acting that way is a definitel symptom of a failing end clutch.

You know, i think your right about the end clutch, I talked to him over the speaker phone, and it's not the best, so that would explain why I had no idea what it was. Hehe. :eek:Thanks... :grinyes:
