1998 eclipse rs DOHC 2.0 5spd.
the speedometer dosnt work. all other guages work, i even replaced the speedometer guage, still says 0mph at all speeds. what do i check next? fuse? where does it connect to under the hood?

Could be the sensor on the tranny. It's under the battery, closer to the firewall. Take that out and replace it. There's little gears on it that may have caused it to go bad.

Check your speedometer fluid, if its not working at all you probably ran 'er bone dry. Only use high grade fluid though, the cheap shit tends to attract lawn gnomes and batman underpants.

i have the same problem switched the sensor and theres fluid ..whats next..help please

Dude this thread is super old. Dont bring back old threads just make a new one. Could be the gauge cluster, speed sensor, or even the plastic gear that runs the speedo. They can sometimes break and cause the speedo not to work
