If you have an oil pressure switch in the fuel pump circuit, you might unplug it. If that doesn't kill the pump, you may have a faulty relay.

my relay seems to be good, one in the glove box. i cant find my fuel pressure regulator or the oil pressure switch. do u think changin the gas tank could have sumthin to do with it, i doubt its just coincidence. thing is i dont know wut i could of done to make my pump run all the time. when i turn key on ignition pump runs for a couple seconds then turns off, but when engine is running pump runs constantly. could my pump be goin bad so it has to stay runnin to keep up pressure maybe? i got a fuel pressure gauge from autozone but the thing doesnt even fit

BB Blazin,
Your fuel pump relay is working fine. The oil pressure sending unit, next to the distributor, is faulty and needs to be replaced.
