Electrical Stalling Problem HELP!

I'm looking for some help or advice, I have a 97 GTP and my battery light has been coming on and off whenever I slow down and stop, accelerate again, then a few days later my tail lights and cluster gauges went out, found two burnt fuses, (PK Lights under hood and R Defog under dash) put new ones in, that solved my tail light problems, day later the R Defog fuse was blown again, PK Light fuse is ok, but I'm still having problems with the battery light coming on and off, also when I stop at a light and then go again my car seems like its out of gas until I reach about 2.5 RPMs then it kicks in and I can drive fine atleast until the next stop but that doesn't happen all the time, usually I know when it about to because my D.I.C turns off and on, also at times my radio read "Protect" (I have a Kenwood CD reciver installed not original Delco) and my heater seems like it changes the speed setting by itself at times, put in new battery that didn't help had the alternator checked and was told it charges fine, now I'm looking to take my car in to a mechanic in the next day or two, thought I'd try to describe the problem the best I can and ask here to see if anyone has had this problem before or knows anything about it, Thanks.

It sounds like you have worn out/arced out/carboned up contacts in the ignition switch problem. Your symptoms are classic.

Would an ignition switch cause rapid RPM droppage? Also is there something called a R bypass valve? Where is it and what does it do? I was told that is something I should check, most likely my electrical problems are due to the fact that my RPMs drop and my alternator isn't bein turned at the pace it should to charge, but then again I've never had starting problems or anything its just after starting that my headlights, tail lights and everything else flicker along with my RPMs goin crazy:banghead:

bnaylor gave you good advice! Get that part replaced and go from there.
