upgrading wheels need upgraded brakes?

hey everyone! ive got a 98 BMW 328i convertible, and im really interested in getting aftermarket rims. i have the stock bmw 16 alloys, and im looking for 17's and possibly 18's with very low profile tires. do i need to install a big brake kit for these larger sizes? thanks!!!

Can't see any reason why you would have to!
It's only the rim size your changing, which won't affect anything else.
