Help

I have a Tamiya Skyline kit with a broken A pillar.

What do you think would be the best way to repair it?

that sucks... but its happened to me a couple times already... i just glue the pillar back together with plastic cement and very very carefully sanded it smooth. then i was very very careful not to break it again. you cant really put a reinforcment behind the pillar since it usually buts up against the clear plastic of the windows so you dont have many options. good luck. id like to see what others have done

Gluing is what I do too. Both A pillar snapped on me for my Civic, and they are fine now all painted up.

I glue the joint, putty it up just a little, then sand smooth. Putty seems to add a bit of strength... at least that works for me.

That car's shape makes that area vunerable. The racing verion(Calsonic group A touring)is the only car I ever got from Tamiya that had a warped body. You might want to re-enforce the pillar by super gluing a very thin strip of soda can aluminum to the back of it. if you cover the window unit with tape and tape it into the body when you are polishing or sanding the body it would give you some support.
