So lets hear it yall. What are your plans for 07? Track numbers, planned mods, power goals, lets hear 'em all.
This season, I just want a runnign DSM. The rebuild should take place not too long after I get out of school. Hopefully I can get that paid for and dropped in shortly after. While the engine is getting rebuild, further weight reduction will take place, battery relocation, 3" exhaust, fuel pump rewire, and then the FMIC will go in. Once the engine is done and I have green for a clutch, the engine will go back in. I will be tossing that boost guage back in along with an oil pressure guage at least, maybe a couple more. During this time, I will be also saving for Link, I want to get that right off the bat to keep my newly built engine in check. Hopefully, this will be around mid June when I can afford all this. I will start it off on a conservative tune, pretty much stock unless its knocking for some reason. I will probably run it that way for the first few hundred miles. As I build up more cash, a 190 will go in next, followed shortly by some 650's or something. Then comes the tuning. Hopefully this will all be done by around mid June. If I do anything else to the car, it will be handling wise. Strut bars will probably come first, followed by some lowering shit. I am aiming for around a 2" drop I think, but I gotta see it first. We'll see though, it really depends on what job I get, what shit I can sell, and wether or not I can find some extra sources of green like working on other peoples cars, a second job, etc.
I guess I dont care what it makes for power numbers. I would like around 260 or so on the street tune, maybe around 330ish on race gas. What ever she puts down, I will be happy with as long as it still scares me on a launch :p. I am hoping for a 12 second slip once I get all the performance shit done that I want to this summer. It'll take some practice, but I think with the studderbox, NLTS, and antilag (like the 16g will need it ) going I bet it wont take a rediculous tune on the race gas to manage a mid 12 second slip.
Anyway, what up all of your sleeves for this season?

280-290ish hopefully street. We shall see when it's tuned. Currently in the process of porting/polish a lot of stuff and maybe some head work if I can afford some more aggressive cam's.
I'm not sure track time's really.

Not quite sure where my power will be, but I do have some plans for this spring.
Fun Stuff:
Water injection, EPROM ECU runing DSMChips, Cat-back exhaust (Maybe :) )
Maintence Stuff:
Timing belt job, ARP Head studs, Head gasket, Bow fix for convertable top, plugs, wires, blah, blah.

Well lets see... Last spring when I got the car running I ran into crankwalk... I'm thinking it can't get much worse than that this spring. lol
I'm hoping for my power to be somewhere in the 400's... I'm also almost certain I'll be swapping out my turbo after I run it this season to break the motor in and such...
I can't wait! :)

Well, I all ready have Brian Crower 272 cams and ARP head studs that have been chilling on my desk for about 3 months. I would love to get my head hot tanked, and have new ($199 ebay) ss valves-guides-lifter and stem seals before installing my 272's/ARP's. I would also love to get a new clutch and replace this stock one I'm on. It's not going to last much longer.. I also need to finish up my emmission elimination, the only thing left is the EGR blockoff plate, which I've had for liek 6 months. Everything else is done. I do want to get an M10 size injector or larger for Injection system. If things work out the way I want them to, I would really love to buy one of the Digital Progressive Controlers and get rid of my gay/leaking boost switch that keeps failing. I'm on my 3rd one in less then a year.
My true goal is 11.99 on my full weight 96gsx. If I could get 11.745 to tie the 2g/16g record that would be fine too :). Last year my goal was 12's, but I went 12.42 at the last track day of the year on 21psi, flowing 36lbmin, 12-14deg advance timing, 10-12 counts of knock in 3rd/4th, 220deg coolant, at 11.5:1 AFR on pumpgas with an M7 running 50/50 smurf pee... Needless to say, a crappy tune.. If all goes well, Racegas, 40lb/min, 100% Meth M10, some advanced timing, 11.5:1 AFR with no knock I'll be there. That is if nothing brakes.. I'm still on my stock 'everything' wheels, tires, suspension, clutch, tranny, engine, exc..
Crap, I also need to take my front bumper off, remount my FMIC, cut some of the UICP pipeing for the MAFT to fit better and recalibrate the MAFT. Not to mention extract a heat sheild bolt out of my ported 2g manifold so I can get my JMFab heat sheild back on. Then, once I get all that done. I'll fix my sunroof..
I have some work..

I hate fuckers like you that are like, "Yeah, I've got this planned but I'm not going to tell you what it is." Theres some Civic kid back home talking shit that his hatch is going to run a 12.8 on a stock NA motor but he wont tell us what the stock NA motor is. Unless its a Viper motor, it aint happening. Then theres a couple ballers back home that really went hardcore into their cars and they should be running fuckin 10's this year and this one particular muscle head is like, "I'll be up there with you guys." but he wont say shit about what hes planning!
Well, theres one a few things you can do to get that kinda power, right? I would think its either forced induction, nitrous, or a high compression bottom end build. Since you have already said no on the turbo and nitrous, got some like 12:1 or some shit planned for the bottom end?

MY goals are to get my new clutch installed, finish my TBE and eliminate the cat, maybe get a tuner and then work on the fuel system(850cc injectors, 255, and return line) all in preperation for a big turbo, either a 50 trim, a 57 trim or a 60-1. I havent decided yet

by the end of '07, I should be able to push the 14b safely to 400hp
That's my goal
Lol, just kidding (I edited this, so it wouldn't show up in your subscrition e-mail, lol)...
No, seriously, I want 12's... I don't care what kind of 12 (12-12.99), I just wanna see 12's... I will hopefully be running the 50-trim, some bigger injectors (havent decided size yet), and DSMLink...
Edit #2: I'd really like to see the full 450hp of that 50-trim... that is doubtful though

i want to finish my power mods for now... witht the FP green, Link, 950cc injectors, and my pretty DNP manifold w/ external wastegate... yeah! oh, and rims... C/F OEM hood, and maybe suspention? (1.5 drop) maybe? so... a little over 400hp i hope...

galant 14's or 15's. still unsure. serious mods to come next spring.
eclipse still in the 15's
i need to get one of them in to messing with the local f-body guys. i want to scare them into getting boosted and blowing their stuff up prematurely.

I plan to put the EVO in the 10s. It should run very low 11s at 125 on the turbo, and mid 10s at something over 130 on the nitrous. We'll see though, easier said than done. :)
I took the car down to Atco in NJ saturday to get a head start on the season. The car went 11.86 at 120 on the turbo, but with a ridiculous sideways 1.86 launch. With a more typical 1.6x, that would be an 11.4 second pas, at around 122. I'm looking forward to trying it again at the local track, where you can actually go AROUND the waterbox. WTF Atco? LMAO. The car put down 353 whp on pump and 392 on race gas on Buschur's Mustang Dyno, which works out to roughly 400 whp pump/450 whp race on a more typical Dynojet.
I still have a few kinks to work out in the setup, but all the significant changes are done (well, except for yet another cam swap, this time to Revolvers). The car is now running extremely well on the AEM. Idle and cruise are great, fuel economy is 27-28 mpg highway, etc. The Exedy Twin disk clutch is the best clutch I have ever run by far, shifts very fast. The FP EVO Green/Buschur 20G-LT is a superb turbo. Stock like spool (25 psi at 37-3800 rpm) and 49 lbs/min capacity.
I still need to downgrade to AMS small brakes so I can run my 10.8 lb Rota wheels with some kind of DOT slick on them, or perhaps some drag radials if I pussy out. More consistent 1.5s would be the balls. The cage will go in as soon as I get booted from the track, or I get a second vehicle, which ever comes first.
I also have a sick exhaust setup being built, I'll have to make a post about once it's installed and Db readings taken.

My goal is to get this 6 Bolt swap done here in then next month or so. After that I want to at least get a FMIC some injectors and a fuel contoller. I am not really into drag racing. I kind of look at it as a test just see what your car can do. I would like to compete in at least one AutoX event and I would also like to take my car out to the road track we have out here, Buttonwillow. Hoping to see around 300 AWHP.

Yeah I have quite a few to choose from out here. I can go to Buttonwillow or I can go down south a couple hours and go to Willow Springs Raceway or I can even make the 3 hour or so drive over to Laguna Seca....that would be a bad ass course to drive. I love that corkscrew.
