hey everyone, what going on. i need help on painting my model. i have some question and i cant find the answer.
wish is the best paint for a noob to use?
if i can use regular automobile primer?
brush of the interior and spray for outside is this is correct
how i shave the door handle,what material i need to do this.

Hi there and welcome to AF,
1. Best paint: Depends on what you're looking for. Ease of use, then Tamiya. Quality & color range, Gunze paints or Automotive paints.
2. No. Most automotive primers etch metel, much too strong for plastic. Look for 'bumper primer' and search a little to see what others use (brands/types).
3. Yes and no. No: if you have the patience/ skills then AB everything that can be masked without too much hasstle. Yes: If you don't have an AB then brush for interior and spray for the shell. Even for the interior, if you can find a matching color then spray all you can without letting it run. AB'ed parts look much better than brushed parts anyday (with only a few exceptions).
4. Looking around in the WIP's will answer this. For materials and tools: putty, files, sandpaper, x-acto are the main tools off the top of my head.
Seeing that you're from NY, please take a little care when writing your post. The easier it is to read the more likely you are to get proper answers.
The more detailed the question, the better the answer. (Pic's often help too ie: Q4..)

Welcome to the forum, I'm in NY located on Long Island.
For paint I agree on the new Tamiya sprays, also like Duplicolor car touch up spray and Black Gold made by House of Kolor.
The primer I use almost exclusively for my finish body work is Duplicolor primer sealer. The big can is the best deal. I also use Plastikote's primers which I find in places like Michaels Crafts. These withstand anything I've put over them. Tamiya makes a great primer as well, use it with their paints, I'm still not sure on how it is on the other paints I mentioned.
I spray almost everything these days. I'll brush paint things like transmissions, small detail items.
You can shave most of the door handle off with an xacto knife, try to use a sharp blade and sanding sticks, sandpaper to do the rest. Spot prime these areas to see if the door handle "ghosts" on you. The plastic has a memory and sometimes it takes a few (or more) sand and prime sessions to get rid of them.

thank guy for the help, i will go to my lhs to see if i can find some of this item, o yea i doing a tamiya honda accord
