TRD cavalier

Does anyone know about the TRD cavalier that was in production in japan starting 1996? Well its a sweat ass Jap cavalier!!!! Its funny kinda cause Domestics and imports hate each other but in japan many ppl have the Toyota TRD cavalier. If you think about it a cavalier is like the best competitor for imports. My friend has a GSR with a limited slip differential which should make him real good of the line especially with his Real good tires, but my car has terrible tires, does a massive burnout of the line, and i have an open differential. Where i'm getting at is off the line we are dead even up to 60 then he starts to creap away. My point is that yes imports are well designed with vtec cams , but domestics also have torque which is good for off the line. Basically if you take a civic si and a 2000 Z24 off the line the z24 will kill it, but after that v tec kicks in so it makes for a intense race. Being a true sport compact person is exepting the best of both worlds. Thats why i love the TRD toyota cavalier... now if only V tec technology was introduced to The cavalier. I think maybe someday GM will give up there pride for a good thing like V tec. Its the only way to keep up in the sport compact race. Evn the focus's have zetec which is somewhat like v tec i hear. BMW has a version of v tec in the M3, toyota has its version... its a trend i don't mind getting into. How many ppl want to see The New cavaliers have a version of V tec?

vtec is about the crudest form of variable valve timing. GM introduced a version back on 89 with the Caddilac Allante, they just did'nt make a big deal about it. GM also introduced the quad 4 with alot more power than it currently has. It originally came as a 2.3liter engine with 150-190hp in various forms. GM currently offers variable valve timing in it's trailblazer and envoy. Different versions will trickle down to the cavalier and sunfire shortly as GM is running into the sport compact market full on.

I'm sorry but a vtec engine is much better than a 2.3 liter quad 4. the only good quad 4's were the w41 and the HO and they throw timing chains more than they beet hondas. Yea if GM knew what they were doing they would have used that technology for performance usage Even ford has a form of v tec now. Do you even know what v tec is? cause if you did you wouldn't mock it. Cause by saying you hate v tec means you don't want good gas mileage or better performance. So go ahead and stick with your "CRUDE" lower end torque monkey. :smoker2:

obviously caddilac didnt do something right other wise they would still be using their v-tec engine. crude or not, it's still a great invention. honda came out with v-tec on preludes in the late 80s, 88 i believe but not exactly sure. im a domestic guy all the way, but god damn them japs can build some high hp/liter figures. imagine if GM could get 120hp/liter out of 350! without forced induction and still get 30miles to the gallon.
that cavalier is sweet looking, i wonder what it has got for drivetrain.

Look at my sig, cocksucker. I OWN a car with your almighty vtec. It's not all its cracked up to be. Mitsubishi and toyota's versions are much more advanced, hell everybody's is. Honda's simply uses oil pressure to move the rockers on a camshaft with 2 sets of lobes. It's not that complex. I did'nt say it did'nt work, but it is far from a godsend. And I will stick with my crude low end torque monkey. It even gets better gas mileage than my high revving ,high tech vtec monster. If you want vtec so bad bitch, get a honda.:finger:

Mongofiero, what does hp/liter mean in a race? Not a goddamn thing. High hp/liter is easier to get with smaller engines. A Yamaha R6 makes over 200hp/liter, and guess what. It does'nt have vtec. An RSX makes 100hp/ liter. My Camaro, rated at 285hp, exactly 50. My 50 hp/liter beats the trash out of the RSX's 100 in 0-60, 1/4, and top speed. Hp/liter is nothing more than a bragging right. It won't win you shit. If it would, then why is honda building bigger and bigger engines? The accord has gone from 2.2-2.3-2.4 . The integra/RSX has gone up to 2.0, as has the new Si. WHy? because there is no replacement for displacement, vtec or not. Honda knows that without more trque, they will be let by the competition.

i guess the old addage "there is no replacement for displacement" comes into play here. youre right, hp/liter doesnt mean anything in racing, but hp/lbs certainly does. check this out though...

Is that the best you can come up with bitch? BTW I'm black. Yes my Z-28 will get better gas mileage than my h22a powered accord. I pull down about 27 with the accord and a little over 30 with the Z. If you don't believe that, you don't know shit about cars. Anyone can tell you that 4th gen f-bodies get great highway mileage. 80 mph in high gear is less than 2000 rpm. See you can do that when you have torque bitches. And for a bitch that drives a fiero, please. I'd beat you zero to 30 towing TRD's cocksucking ass with the Z. You fags deserve to drive lame ass cars.:finger:
