This might be a rather boring question for some of you hi-tekkies, but it's driving me nuts! Where on earth is the sensor for the automatic headlights on my Mercury Mountaineer?? The light knob broke & it's one of those stupid things that would cost too much to fix...
My autolamp works, but it doesn't come on in some situations (rain, e.g.). If I had my druthers, I'd block the sensor completely so the lights are always on.
Please help!!

Not sure if yours is the same desing as I have seen before. But if you have speakers on the tops of the dash, is there a little black button looking thing next to one of them? If so, try covering that up.

Thanks for the reply, but I don't have that design.
There is a hole in the top of the dash near the windshield. I tried covering that up, but it doesn't work...
