I cant believe nobody replied to this.
Comparitively I think it's a VERY quiet car, but I'm comin from a Trans AM that makes almost 80 decibels at idle.
It's soo tasty to drive the Z. The steering is telepathic and the suspension is stiff as hell but not rough like a corvette where you feel like your ass is scraping the road.
The shifter is sweet but it does vibrate alot at higher RPM's. I've only had the car 5 days so I'm still being nice to it. Once I break it in I'm gonna really get on it.

I agree with the above post but would like to add, when not buckled, the seat belt insert will bang up against the plastic molding. It can be rather annoying. I am thinking of looking into getting a small piece of black felt to put on the plastic part of the passenger's seat belt insert.

Seat belt rattle . . . I think Lil Popa Pump was refering to the passager's side. When not being used "no passager" the seat belt clip needs to be attached to the seat belt guide located on the pillow. Refer to page 1-24 of your owner's manual.:smoker2:

Thanks for the info on the passenger seat belt clip. After reading your post I took a look, and there it was.
As for road noise and ride: With the windows up, all I hear is the radio, or my own conversation. It's more quiet than my Integra.
The ride, well, I'm greatful for the firmness.
I've had my Z about four months, 5000 miles.
I just got back from a long ride aroung the Bay Area. When I was in the middle of a 120 mph. sweeper it stuck like glu. I was very thankful for the suspension being just the way it is. "IT'S A SPORTS CAR"

There is a clip on the B pillar that's there to hold the belt in place. Check out http://www.courtesyparts.com/350z/7things.html. Also, they've (Courtesy Parts) turned out to be a great source of parts for my Base 350z. They're less than half the price of my local dealer.

The car is quiet on asphalt. But get it on a concrete highway and it's loud and it's quite a rough ride -- reminds me of the formula karts we race.
On asphalt, I love it. On a five hour trip through southern Michigan's heaved concreted highways (I-69 and I-75) and it'll beat you silly.
Other than that, I love the car. Wish it had about 25 more HP.
