95 GA ignition wiring

Hey guys, I'm trying to install a remote car starter on a 95 grand am and it would be much easier if I had a wiring diagram for the ignition harness.

Anyone know where I can get one? or does anyone already have one?

If you have never installed one of these in a Pontiac I would Highly suggest you do some research or have it done.
A chiltons or haynes manual might have what you need as far as identifying the wires. I have only done 2 installs over the last 20yrs and I refuse to mess with them any more unless its an older car without that damn passlock system :rolleyes:

I'm sure others here might be able to give you some more detailed info, as thiers been several that have had the remote starters installed.

hey xeroinfinity, wasn't the 95's pre - passlock? my 95 doesn't have it.

I would think the wiring diagrams in the chilton's manual would be all you need to find the right colors of the wires. I would probably just have it installed though, for me to put that kinda time into running wires & the trouble just doesn't seem worth it when you can get a decent one installed cheap anymore.

Well I did a little research and it turns out the passlock system is on 96 and up. So the 95 I'm working on will be fine. I just need to get one of these manuals.

You still will want a good manual with wire color codes,
that will make it much easier ;)
