GO WATCH IT!!
Jim Carey is the man. His acting is incredible in this, just shows that he's not just some guy that makes funny noises and faces. Fans of Eternal Sunshine and Truman Show will NOT be disappointed, this movie has a twist that puts M. Knight Shamylan to shame. The filming itself has so many influences from Sin City, so if you loved how that was made, you'll love how they ran these stories together.
Best psycological thriller in a looong time, really fucks with your mind, really plays on the feeling of paranoia.

"I'm not saying this is a brilliant film, because it isn't. It's rather easy to guess the plot twists, the script does tend to patronise the viewer and the final segment of the film casually abandons the central premise in favour of a more generic 'mystery' storyline. But I found quite a few things to like about the movie, such as strong performances from Jim Carrey and Virginia Madsen, very stylish direction and (for most of the movie)a genuine undercurrent of tension as the events unfold. It's not going to be remembered as a highlight on the careers of anyone involved, but if you enjoyed conspiracy theory novels such as The Da Vinci Code or shows like the X-Files, you are more likely to see past the critics and enjoy this film."

Sounds like any other "thriller" or mystery film being made today. I'll save my money...

Mixed reviews I am hearing on this one. I was very close to seeing it but decided not too.

Why, you'd expect him in something more like "Me, Myself & Irene"? or "Ace Ventura"? I suggest you go watch "Eternal Sunshine for the Spotless Mind" or "The Truman Show". Unlike Will Farrel, Carey isn't typecasted, and is really a damn good actor, imo atleast.

I know this thread is a few weeks old. Anyways, saw the movie. I think Jim Carrey was brilliant in it! I'd definitely recommend this movie!
