engine trouble in Hawaii...

I am in need of a new/used engine for my '98 escort. The problem is that I live in Hawaii and it is nearly impossible to get parts here (without paying a fortune)....any suggestions?

What exactly is wrong with your motor? Can your motor be repaired? It maybe poosible to find a good used motor, keep checking with salvage yards.
Due to the possible costs involved, you may want to keep a look out for a replacement vehicle.
