like most weekends around town there wasn't a damn thing goin on in town. i think there were a few things goin on in like linden but thats not the point. lately me and my buddies have found a new hang out spot, where there are actually people who like and know about cars, which in this town is rare. so like always we all kinda roll in there together and i get my coffee and we just sit... and sit. and nothing is goin on. and then it happens. like a flock of rabid seaguls a group of about eight cars rolls by java. and not just one passby but about three. and they finally park. in the group there were
RSX-S, orange
RSX-S, blue
LS integra
EK civic and a few more but i was more interested in the integra. i've never really raced one and from what i've heard ill beat it pretty easily so i knew this could be my chance.
well the night kinda dragged on until the rabid seagul group decided to leave and me and a buddy of mine(Rob and his S2000) decided to follow and try and have a little fun
so we head out from java and they hop on the freeway and we follow closely. after a slight bit of traffic im up and next to the integra and begin to pace him and goose the throttle slightly and pull back and pace again. but to no avail, he doenst want to play or so i thought. immediatly he DROPS the hammer and takes off so i quickly shift from fourth gear at 2,000rpms to 3 at somewhere around 4 and im after him. from about 70mph up to around 120 off the jump he pulled me by a car and i reeled him in and pulled him to about my bumper or so... and this happened twice, we would line up and get set and he would jump out, never racing me heads up which was pretty gay IMO
but now it rains and there wont be a car out for the next week or so...
CLIFF NOTES: if you're down here reading this you've scrolled by the whole story, go back up to the top and read, im sure you know how, left to right top to bottom... :iceslolan

Sounds like some nice races. What year integra? (or body style at least). Im not sure on the power on those but i think the mid 90's ones had like 140hp...but again, i might be pulling numbers out of my ass....

i have no clue what the power rating on any integra is, my brother has raced a couple of them and walked with ease so im guessing not all that much, stock at least. but this one was newer like mid to late 90's...

i think you're talking about the round headlight tegs. I had trouble keeping up with an LS one back in the days, he had i/h/e + 55-70 n02. But, i know forsure the early 90 tegs are a lil easier to pull away from. I've pulled on 2 on launch alone. :pimp: (and my car run 17s :disappoin)

the late 90's tegs had around 140 for the base, and up to 195 for the type r. the only advantages that integra's have, they r light as hell, and they have a decent amount of power. basically they have a good power to weight scale. i lost a rolling start to one, granted he was nething but stock, well the light's were stock(front lights) and it was a 04 rsx, called an integra everywhere but america

HUH? Must have been the lights that give an extra 21hp...

integra = less torque than a blender.

'88-'91 Integra LS/GS/RS 130hp 121tq
'92-'93 Integra LS/GS/RS 140hp 126tq
'94-'00 Integra LS/GS/RS (round head lights) 142hp 127tq
The LS/RS/GS (all have the same engine and transmission) have more torque than the other Integras. They also have longer geared transmissions, so they suck for acceleration but pull to a respectable mph. And they also weight somewhere around 2700 lbs, which IMO isn't all that light (but I also drive a 2044 lbs slow ass Civic).
integra = less torque than a blender.
DAMNNNNNN! What kind of blender do you use??? Seems like if that were true it wouldn't actually blend anything. And it would either just throw whatever you're blending out the top or move it to the side. :disappoin

Ehh I owned a 2000 Integra GS-R for awhile (A bitch totalled it in a month and a half of ownership). It didn't feel weak at all. I think the torque numbers look low, but in a car that is that light (2600lbs.), it doesn't feel all the weak. Mind you it's not gonna pull up a hill at idle in 1st gear, but they do have some power all around.
I'd love to own another Integra GS-R and pump it out to 200whp n/a.
Oh, and good kill on the LS/GS Integra. My buddy owns one. I don't think it's anywhere near as fast as the Integra GS-R I owned, but it is decent all around.

just ditch the bimmer and build your coupe....I have endless sources you know that....and it will cost a fraction to build compared to your bimmer.....
