I dont have electric windows. I was wondering if I can remove my plastic dull grey window crank with a nice chrome one that I see in Autozone for $5 bucks? It is in the HELP! section of the autostore. It even says GM on the box. What do you think?

sounds like a cool idea. but remember our car is not an actual gm in the sense a cavalier is a gm. our car is a daewoo, meaning some of the stuff that says gm on the package wont necessarily work. but now you got me thinkin, i might just pop on down to autozone and find out.

Don't you have any wish to replace it with a power windows instead? Seeing that Daewoo spareparts aren't as expensive than GM's. I think that powered windows can make you easier to open the windows. Just a thought.

But hey, how's that GM crank? If it fits, than its great! :grinyes:

If i wanted to convert my windows to electric where would I buy the parts? Also are the wires in place ready for it?

aight search the net power window conversion kits or go to your local customs shop. its easier if you go to the shop than trying to deal with the mechanics of the crank handle on the door and trying to take it all apart. plus a good shop can mold all the plastics you would need and integrate your wiring with the car. but if you good at that stuff then just cruise the net ive run acrossed them before. good luck.

Yupz, local autocustoms shops is the best choice, but if you want to order original ones, contact your chevy/GM/daewoo dealer, I'm sure you can make an order through them an I'm sure their mechanics can install it for you.
