I think it will be a while too...and considering they only charge $50 to upgrade from V1 to V2 I imagine it will be the same deal...and you can just upgrade when the time comes...

check out the "major enhancements" thread. Looks like V3 is going to rule.

Major enhancements thread, part 2
The following summarizes many of the suggestions presented in this thread as well as roughly where we stand on them. These are items under consideration for the next major upgrade release of DSMLink (both 1G and 2G).
2G ONLY - ALREADY PRESENT ON 1G
1. Memory board
2. Static timing adjustment while nitrous is activated. Also increase the upper limit on the RPM window.
3. Clear knock on clutch input
4. Option to lock in open loop so as to free up FrontO2 input for other things
5. Injector disable
SERIOUS CONSIDERATION
1. GM MAF direct interface to ECU
2. Closed loop wideband functions
3. Additional solenoid controls. Probably define sets of parameters and have each output controllable by any "type" of parameter set.
4. Security code before startup
5. Input smoothing in the ECU for all custom inputs, including possibly the RPM signal.
6. Overboost timing adjustments; perhaps coolant temp based adjustments as well.
7. Extended RPM and airflow ranges on fuel and timing maps.
8. Direct access to large parts of the fuel/timing map. Accessing all of both maps may be prohibitive, but we'll try.
9. Full time speed density option
10. "2-stage" knock retard light
INVESTIGATE AND CONSIDER
1. Boost control
2. Fuel/timing adjustments based on amount of time on full throttle (really what people need that talk about load or gear based tuning)
3. Control over knock retard logic
4. Coil dwell time control

I need to come up with something like that for n/a ECUs. I'd be the first to install that. Damn I feel lonely.

I dont know, I think V2 will be just about good enough for me. I know I will be able to put V3 to use but I wont be pooping my pants over it.

I know how you feel. I hope to have my eclipse up and running by the end of June. It will be officially out of commision for a year on the 15th of this month.:banghead:
