hi, i have a 95 talon esi dohc, and i'm having some idle problems with it, along with a small amount of white smoke coming from exhaust. starts fine and runs consistently. there is also a minor lack of power. is the white smoke from burning coolant maybe? and i have no idea why it is running rough at idle. it sounds like it's missing, but it's not a steady miss. i checked the plugs and wires, and the wires are fine and the plugs still look like new. i also found a loose vacuum line, and i cant figure exactly where it goes. it comes from the rear of the intake manifold, and is broken off. i've looked around the internet for a vacuum diagram, but i cant seem to find one. can anybody provide any help?

it would help me greatly if somebody could help find a vacuum diagram.

There's one under your hood.

the car was in a collision, and when the hood was repainted, the vacuum diagram stickers were removed. ok i found and fixed the vacuum leak, but engine still runs rough, and now i'm completely stumped on what it is. no check engine light is on either. i'm not exactly car smart, as you can tell

hmm, is it possible that the head gasket could be blown? i know a blown head gasket could cause the white smoke, and i know it would cause it to run rough, but i havent found any coolant in the oil or visa versa. plus, the engine still has a fair amount of power. any suggestions?

Where do you live? If it's cold, the car will appear to be blowing white smoke, but if it's warm than you may have another problem Do you have any way of getting ahold of a compression gauge so you can check compression?
