Decided to take a brake from the FXX, while parts are drying out and build myself a good old American Muscle.

Before I stast, I have a little story. I have owned a 300C HEMI and wanted to build one, so I bought the AMT kit. I opened the kit and after several hours of agonizing over terrible fit, terrible mold, inacurrate proportions, awful directions, virtually no decals and horrible fit and finish I cast it away in disgust. Trully, this was one of the worst MODERN kits I have ever seen. :banghead: Shame on you AMT...Shame!

Determined to build a modern HEMI, I got a Revell Magnum SRT8. What a refreshing change from AMT. The kit is superb - fit and finish of the parts is great, the kit comes with tintented windows, frets of parts molded in three different colors, two options of realistic wheels, etc. Overall, a much better kit.

I am not going to go all out on detailing this one. I did open the grill and shaved emblems off. Take a look:

The wheels got detailed, painted with magnezium and clear coated. The tires are a downfall of this kit - they are generics, so I addeda PZero decal.

The crown jewel of this kit is the huge 6.1L HEMI :grinyes:

Thanks everyone for all your great comments. I am really enjoying this quick and simple build!

Here is a small update. I finished the dashboard and started working on the interior and chasis.

The interior is Testors "International blue" and Testors "flat black".

I will let the pictures do the talking:

Wow, you aren't fooling around here. Excellent the way the rims turned out and then that engine, very nicely done especially in the belt and pulleys area. Dash and interior are exceptional too, this is really going to be something special. Looking forward to more.

Hi,

engine looks great, wheels are better the way you treated them, it is more realistic.

Dash and interior side panels are nicely detailed, but the separation lines around the doors and on the dashboard donīt look clean.
