I have a 4.3L 4WD 1997 Chevy Blazer...it has 180k miles, and just recently I had a new ignition coil/wires put in as well as all 6 spark plugs being changed, this is because I was getting the cylinder misfire codes on the scanner
Now the problem is this, it stalled while on the highway while I was drving 65mph...engine just cut off competely...had to get towed back home...now I changed the ignition module...when I crank with new module, the pink wire which hooks up to the coil gets constant voltage (voltage not measured, but test lamp stays lit), but there is no spark on the secondary side of the coil
MY questions:
I could not check the pulse from the module to coil, which wire should I be checking for this signal?
Where is the crankshaft sensor located, and could this be a source of the problem? (also how many wires go to it, can it be changed from the outside, ie is it threaded on etc)
Any more ideas are greatly appreciated, need to get this car running before the work week...Thanks guys

When you turn the key to the on position, Do you hear the fuel pump whinning? Also with the key on, Do you see the idiot lights light up on the dash cluster (airbag) (check engine)? If you answered NO to any of these questions, you may have BAD IGNITION WIRING HARNESS, 1997 was the worst year for them...
