engine problems???

i was wondering if anyone had any ideas on why my car idles rough? like at a stoplight my car stops runs fine about 3 seconds pass then it starts to run rough? then i put the car into nutral and then it runs just fine? its a 1993 cadillac seville sts with about 180,000 miles
