Remote Car Starter Problem

I recently purchased a 2005 Malibu LS. Remote Start was working fine. This morning When I tried to start the car using my remote all the fans turned on, but the engine would not start. Can anyone help?

It is possible that the engine control module in vehicle is preventing the remote start from working because you have a Check Engine Light.

I assume this is an aftermarket remote start? Sit inside and see what you see on the dash when you try to RS it. See it the security light comes on.

Malibu 04 and on has factory remote, cool uh.

Only the 2004 Malibu Maxx could you get the RS from the factory. The regular Malibu you had to have it added.

My 04 Malibu has remote from the factory, not sure what you mean by add on.

Mine came with factory option 1SB. Floor mats, 6 way power seat, curtain airbags and remote start.

As did my Malibu LS "Sport" (Dealer package) Remote start, power adjustable pedals, spoiler. Local dealers purchased 140 of the Malibus, with these options, straight from Kansas.

You sure your pressing the lock button before you press the start button. Not to insult your intelligence, but Ive done it.
