I would appreciate any help I can get on rebuilding my V6 camaro. It's a 1998 and I'm looking to put an SLP loudmouth exhaust kit on already but as far as upping the HP, what should I do?? I would like to get 375 or 400 out of it but i'm not sure where to start. I'd like to avoid buying a supercharger. Basically, I need somebody to tell me all the parts i'm going to need to buy! Thanks

:spit: Naturally Aspired 3800 making 375+hp, good luck
Maybe if you bore and stoke it close to 5L, add a HUGE solid roller cam and spin it to 8000rpms.
But stock cubes with a big cam and nitrous should be doable.

Start by adding 2 more cylinders. You could latch onto an LT1 cheaper than a supercharger. The only real problem would be the wiring, but if you have the time and can read wiring diagrams it would prove worthwhile.

the only way to hit 375-400hp in that engine is forced induction (turbo/supercharger) or nitrous. with either option you'll probably want to use forged pistons, considering how much boost (or juice) you would be putting to it.
if you really want to do it with that engine, i would use 2-stage nitrous (or a graduated system where the controller gradually applies more nitrous til the max), forged pistons, a better cam, and a shift kit.
this is a relatively easy setup if you are rebuilding it yourself. you're still looking at about $2000.
