Missing my '96

Just sold my '96 Silverado 1500 last night and I feel like my dog died. Shouldn't be this attached to a vehicle but this truck MORE than satisfied my expectations.
The 350 Vortec pulled my boat and motorcyles all over the country with ease and power to spare and could still smoke the tires from a 10mph roll-on. In 125k miles, I never heard a squeak or a rattle, saw any hint of wear on the interior, nor did the motor ever use a drop of oil.
Just picked up a new '07 Silverado but am really missing this gem already.
People can say what they want about American cars, but I'll never believe the Japs make a better truck.

I hear that, I just traded my 97 for an 03 with 40k. My 97 had 135k on it and it was still one solid truck, ran and looked perfect. I wish I could have kept it but the camaro is too much fun and three cars is too many.
