Wacky wipers!!!

My wipers have started doing some strange things. They will not stop when turned off. When it does turn off it stops in the middle of window, then on the sides of the windshield and repets this 3 times before it goes back to the normal position. I talked to a friend and they had the same problem with thier GM. They told me it was the wiper circit board. I bought ona and now I can't find where it is on my van. If anyone knows if this is what is wrong or the location of the circuit board, please help. Thank you.

the mechanical installation may vary a little depending on year: pre-93 do not have the slot allowing the motor to be pushed sidewards and some more dismantling of the linkage must be done to remove the motor upwards...
YOur symptoms may mean some wear-off at rotating contacts is also present..so check these also while you are there.
