Answer is probably no by using common sense, long distance to travel in case of reposession needed, the fact that you don't live in the state, but i can't find an answer on google or anything to confirm. I mean, is all in house used car financing primarily in state? For example, I live in colorado and i wanted to go to a subaru dealer in a neighbor state, say, utah or possibly 13 hours away in phoenix az to finance for a used car. Is this pretty common? dealers still willing to do business with out of town folk?

A lot of banks are national so you can often get financing even when buying a car out of state. I live in Maine, but I've financed two cars in New Hampshire. Both banks were national and they used branches in Maine for the actual paperwork.
