Power window

2001 Dodge Caravan SE....power window went down and wouldn't go back up..not even the sound of a noise from the window motor. I held the window and pulled up ads someone else pressed the power window button and up it went and works fine now.
BUT.. could that be a warning that the motor is going and will stop working one of these days or could I be lucky enough to have just had a "glitch"?
Anyone with similar experiences??

Maybe on both counts. If it happens again don't count the switch out.

my money is on the motor giving you a warning that it doesn't want to work for you anymore.Might work ok now and maybe for weeks or months, but come that one time (happened to me in pouring rain) it goes down, then doesn't want to go back up.I replaced both sides on my 01 already.

Any idea what a power window motor costs? I know they aren't cheap.

If its the front passenger side Chrysler does a very poor job designing the switches. In the last 5 years Ive replaced about 4 switches in 3 of my vans and an Intrepid all on the passenger side. If you pop the switch open just scrape the corrosion or buildup on the contact and it will work fine the problem is the switch, however in scraping you clean off anodizing and corrodes up again in maybe a year. Also if in doubt and you have a schematic you can just take the switch out and jumper to test.
