Fuel gauge lamp

I have a 1994 Eagle Vision and the fuel gauge lamp goes on once in a while. I filled the tank with gasoline recently and the needle read full and still the warning light went on twice. I just bought this vehicle and I am not having any other electronic problems. Does anyone know why the warning light goes on intermitantly?

Bad ground or bad sensor. As I recall, the wire or the sensor is at the fuel pump [internal tank, sigh]. Without taking the tank out, you may otherwise pull the dash, and look at the light's connectors.

There may be an easier fix, but I don't know of one.

As it's a 13 year old driver, and if you feel you can tune it out, just ignore the silly thing, lol, and leave it be. It doesn't affect any other aspect of the car, and the worst is the bulb may burn out. I doubt that if it's a bad ground issue, that the bad ground will have any other effect on your ride.

That's because you say the fuel guage is okay. If the guage remains accurate, you're okay with the light coming on at times. Irritating, but not harmful.

HTH
