Wheel Bearings?

I have a 95 chevy c-1500 with 4.3. The front passenger wheel is dragging, and pulling sharply to the right. Currently, my e-brake is not correctly adjusted, but I do not think that is the problem as this is the only tire dragging. I put a new master cylinder on it last year, new rear brakes in November, and new calipers up front last week. I am not exactly sure what is causing this problem, I do know that my rotors at the least need to be turned if not replaced, and this could be the problem as well. However, on these trucks they made the rotor part of the wheel assembly, therefore the wheel bearings have to be removed to get it off. Would the bearings cause my problems, or do you think it is the rotor. The guy at autozone said they sell a tool that will press the new bearings in, I have yet to look at it though. How hard is this to do, and do you think it would be the culprit of my brake drag? Thanks for all the help.

Thanks for all the help.sometimes what also can happen is that the rubber brake line will deteriorate in side and act as a oneway check valve and not allow brake to release . crack open the bleeder abit to release any pressure and see if wheel spins freely

I will give that a check. Are you talking about the line to the caliper? Or something in the caliper? I changed out the calipers last week up front and was able to bleed them fine, I also bled the back just in case. I did notice that I had to pull a vacuum before I could bleed the brakes, I had to start the truck to get the brake fluid going. After that, the caliper filled quickly, and bled easily.

yes the line going to the caliper. try it and see if it frees up ,but after a few applications it may start to hang up again . had a mechanic freind that had this problem a few years ago ,new caliper and a day or two later it was pulling to one side again. He laughed and said "boy was that embarrassing "

I will give that a try in the morning. I appreciate your help. Hopefully it will work. I have had this truck for 11 years, I would like to keep her going just a little longer until I can begin her restoration.

Got it rolling on Sunday. Took new wheel bearings to do it. They were not as hard as I thought they would be. My Chiltons book said they would need to be pressed, actually they did not. Truck rolls nicely now, thanks for the help Muff34!

Well that`s good . just store that other info in the memory bank ..lol . Sounds odd but it may happen someday .

Will do, funny enough my neighbor came out and was telling me that he used to do brakes and ran into that problem quite often with the lines. Mine just didn't release when I bled it. Thanks again.
