Progress: Ferrari F430

Hey. This is another one I'm building for the tribute group build. I'm somewhat of a secret Ferrari-lover; I always felt that they were overrated(please don't flame me, I'm entitled to my own opinions) but I finally had to give in to the dark side. This build will not be red, nor will any Ferrari I build. It will have a few modifications though. The driver's side mirror wanted to visit the sewer system via the kitchen sink so I decided to use the mirrors from the Pennzoil GT-R with the mounting plates from the HKS Silvia. The wheels are modified Kranze Borphes that will be stripped and treated to some Alclad. There were a few sinkmarks that caught my attention but overall the kit is pretty good. I'm not sure about color choices yet but that will come eventually. Thanks for reading all of the blabbering.:)

Great choice of subject, may I suggest Grigio Silverstone, it looks awesome in that. I take it it's a Fujimi kit?

Looking good man, I like the "all my Ferraris will not be red" thats the way mine will be too, unless I build the Mythos Concept I've got sitting around too(which the first one I built when I was 13 was dark green). I like the wheel choice on this, I feel that modern Ferraris need a little "lip" to make em look just right. Keep up the great work

Will be following this closely as I'm soon to start my Revell F430. Don't tell me you're gonna use those NISMO brakes with the Ferrari....just seems so wrong to me :p . Shame about the mirrror.

Looks nice mate, I completely relate to your opinion dont worry you're not alone hahaha. I don't want to paint any of my Ferrari models red but I may have to for my 288 GTO (only colour they came in).

This kit will take some work but that's part of the fun of building, isn't it?! :smokin: There will be more progress as I get time. I'll probably do the interior next while I wait for my cf decals that will be used in the engine compartment. Thanks :)

The color is a Ford (:eek: ) color from Plastikote. The clear needs to be rubbed out but I like it. Thanks :)

very nice!!! I was thinking of doing my Daytona in a green color, but I've decided on a dark metallic blue with a red interior. Looking great so far man.

Will those Nismo brake-discs be used also?

I like what you've done with the Kranze Borphes rims Tonio. They should suit the Ferrari very well modified like that. The green looks great and will really make it stand out from the crowd. :)

Thank you, guys.:) I'm thinking about using those brakes but I also just found a stash of SAS PE brakes that I had hidden away so I may add those. So far this kit is giving me no problems but I'll keep a wary eye open ;). I am working out the details for the interior now and should hopefully have progress on it soon. I want to do the Spider but I think I'll go with the Fujimi version when the time comes; I'm waiting for a 365GTB and a 512BBi to arrive first. Thank you guys!:sunglasse
