Hey...im'a try this one more time...i've posted 2 posts and havent really gotten any help...this isnt about the Transmission problem...its about a new clutch...im in needs of a new clutch and i was wondering what type i should get. i like to accelerate and i tend to Rev up the engine just before it redlines at 6.5. i dont know if there are different clutches for acceleration...top speed...all that stuff so i thought i would ask here...my car is an '89 Civic Si HB. please tell me what type i should get and how much it'll cost...thanx

I've heard good things about clutchmaster clutches. When I do my engine/tranny swap I'm gonna get a clutchmaster stage 1 clutch. They cost about $300 I think.

i heard clutchmaster's clutches suck & break easily
They make flywheels that are decent
i heard Ceterforce, Exedy, & ACT are amoung the best & most popular

I've got about a year on my clutchmasters stage 1 with quite a few 1/4 mile passes and it still grabs like it did when I got it. I know plenty of people with clutchmasters clutches that are very happy with them. Most clutches are good for what you want to do.

I have a Exedy CLutch, and it kicks ass, i rev up to about 6-7 grand and drop the clutch and this thing grabs like anythign and all i do is burn rubber, and if i drop around 5500-6000 and drop it, i get massive acceleration and this thing makes my car sqeel a lot when i hit 2nd gear on stock Si engine, only mod is intake and clutch, oh yea, and ZC tranny, but this happened even before the zc tranny..... :)

I've got an Exedy 90-91 Teg clutch w/ organic street disc. They claim that it can hold 350hp at the wheels...i didn't think that that was possible with an organic street disc. I'll just have to get 350whp and find out i guess:D ;) It grabs like a bitch still...and it's a great clutch for the money..... i think it was $300 shipped for the complete kit from clutchcityonline. I had a clutchmaster stage one in my 94 integra GS-R and it was a very good clutch as well....a little more expensive tho.
