replace starter

I just repaced my starter in a 95 cavalier. When I went to connect the battery.the starter started to turn over right away with out key. I guess I connect the wires wrong on starter but nut sure wich ones

Ive never in my life had this problem

only thing I can think of is that battery power is connected direct to motor terminal on starter. Take large wire off the post it is on now and put it on other large post on solenoid. It`s either that or solenoid is frigged up .
