Anyone here have this before? What was the price to fix? How long to fix? I am currently 38,000...yes 2000 miles over. What are the chances Chevy will not stand behind their product?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Never heard of that. What are your symptoms? Most common trailblazer T-case issues are either associated with the T-case encoder motor or the dash switch. The front axle disconnect can also have problems.

The symptoms are: 4 hi and 4 lo not working. AWD does work but the back tires only spin when in 4 hi and lo. I took it in and the tech said the clutch was broken in the transfer case???? Since it was over the mileage they had to call in the big guys and get approval before it gets fixed?
So never heard of this before?? HMMM???

Agreed, by who and how was this diagnosed? You may be getting ahead of yourself here.

not sure how diagnosed but the dealer is the one telling me this. They are going to tear down the front end to verify then it will be covered? Sounds as if they are going to pay for whatever it needs. So atleast that is a good thing. Not sure how diagnosed though???

If the lights on the 4x4 dash switch light up as they should, chances are your transfer case is fine. I would suspect a front axle disconnect problem if that's the case.

did you find the fix?? never say never. About 6 months ago I replaced a t-case on an 02 with 140k miles that the clutches/bearings? let loose and it cut an 1/8 inch wide path in the housing aproximately 180degress. The other problem it had was the grease in the front actuator solidified and only allowed the solenoid to only engage the gears part way. this was a $500 fix, gears only available from GM.
