hey could a bad oil pump cause a 90 caprice to stall. i have noticed that when i barkae and what not the oil pressure guage fluxuates more than normal.. my buddies 90 caprice doesn't do that. So yeah it seems that when the oil pressure guage gets low the car stalls? any ideas?

If the fuel pump relay is failing, low oil pressure (below 4 PSIG) could cause the fuel pump to stop running and the engine to stall. If the fuel pump does not run a two-second prime cycle when the ignition is first turned on, that is an indication that the pump relay may not be working properly.

Perhaps the engine is dropping RPM as it's getting ready to stall- this will cause the oil pressure to drop and become sporadic. I really don't think that a bad pump will cause the engine to stall, although it could certainly cause the engine to expire.
Oil pumps almost never directly cause problems with oil pressure, that generally falls to the bearings - either worn or damaged, or oil starvation.

There is no oil pump relay, however there is a fuel pump relay. It should be somewhere on the passenger side inner fender, firewall or inside the car on the passenger side, under the dash (not sure). There is an oil pump switch, which works as a redundant backup to the relay, this is usually mounted on the back of the engine, to the right of (looking at it from the front) and below the distributor. It has 3 (or 4) wires coming off of three terminals.
