Blower Motor Resistor

I Searched The Forum And Could Not Find An Answer To My Following Question." Is The Resistor Board For The Blower Motor A Dealer Item Only?"

THANK YOU ALL FOR THE INPUT AND DIRECTION. REPLACED AND ALL IS WELL. THERE APPEARS TO BE AN UPDATE ON THE RESISTOR BOARD FROM THE ORIG. THAT IS INSTALLED ON THE VEHICLE.

I have not seen them anywhere else. They only cost about $40 at a dealer so they are not that expensive. The OEM ones probably work better anyway. When I replace mine I got it from a dealer.

At the price you can get it at the dealership you might as well get it from them. Sounds like an electrical part and those are not returnable so OEM is the way to go....

I've replaced two of those in GPs, they are a MOMMA to replace because of how they are tucked up so close to the floor/firewall. I always got mine at the dealer, and the replacement was considerably different looking design than the original.

What did they charge at the dealer.Was it a AC delco part.

Yes, Delco part, ran around $45 IIRC.

The one I just replaced and purchased at NAPA was also a AC Delco at $28.99 Part GM#89019101
