Helms Service manual: http://downloads.hondatech.info/Auto/Manuals/Civic/Ab0VE.Honda%20Civic%2092-95%20Service%20Manual.zip
Page 122, the manuals page of 6-56.

A good way to make sure that you're at top dead center, other than lining up the marks shown on page 128, is to stick a straightened coat hanger into the #1 cylinder (obviously with the spark plug removed) and make sure it moves as high as it can go. It also might be easier to take off the drivers side wheel, jack up the drivers side of the engine (jack under the oil pan, with a block of wood between the jack and oil pan), unbolt the drivers side mount, and slowly lower it down to get to the crank pully easier through the wheel well. The bolt that holds the crank pully is going to be a pain to get off unless you have air tools or the crank pully removal tool. But you might be able to get it off with a ratchet with a long pipe at the end; breaker bar.
