Hey guys. Just wondering, i see most cars and their airboxes have like a ram air deal or like an extra piece of the airbox that runs to the opening of the hood or behind the headlight to suck in extra air for the filter. Does the 2200 have that? I have tried looking but i cant find an opening or where it runs.. I figure any car might as well have it for extra airflow right? Some are really good they have a thin piece of the plastic running all the way to the crack in the hood to suck in a bunch more air. I was wondering if theres an opening at all at the airbox area. Or if there is a mod for the airbox to make it suck in more? Even if it dont make much diff, cuz its a 2200 with 240,000kms lol so i dont need a WAI. Thanks

Its below the box. It runs down into the fender and along side the washer fluid reservoir. Its commonly called the "bong".

Hey how exactly do you take the lower half of the airbox out? Do you need to take the battery out etc?

naaaaaa.......see the rubber piece holding it in beside the left strut tower, get a flathead screwdriver, get her in there, pry real hard till it pops out......take the battery out or move it, and then wiggle it around...should pop out.....thats how i did mine.....

yes, the battery definetely needs to come out, if you have a clutch, your clutch fluid resivior will also need to be relocated

Thanks i handled her, i swiss cheesed the box on the coolside of the airbox and its kinda a nifty little mod. Sounds throaty at higher revs and probably 1 horsepower gain lol.
