Leak in driver's door hinge

I have a leak going down into the driver's door hinge area, a rather large one, and the icicles are starting to freeze the door shut. Comparing it to the passenger door, I can't find any differences in the weather stripping or where it's all going in. Any ideas on how to fix this?

My '97 has the same problem. The door seals channel water right to the door hinges. The original door hinge bushings wore out quick on mine so I keep mine greasy with 90 weight gear lube...looks messy but it does shed the water.
Maybe some later model door seals will fix it. Do the later year cars do this too?

When the door is closed the hinges do not have any seal protecting them - they are open in front of that door seal (seal between hinge and door edge so go look at it. Maybe the front fender gap is really wide or the foam piece that seals the whole rear of fender is ripped/gone or you are throwing water up from the front tire. Usually the top or rear door seal gets a rip and freezes shut. If you have a sunroof that has water tubes that dump right on top of the upper hinge. Lube with white litheum grease, spray is easiest.
